I stood there, frozen in shock, as the whisper seemed to echo off the walls of the temple. I knew I had to get out of there, but my feet seemed rooted to the spot.
Suddenly, I heard a noise behind me. I turned to see Aashi standing there, a look of concern on her face.
"Raj, what's wrong?" she asked, her voice soft and gentle.
I shook my head, trying to clear the cobwebs. "I don't know," I said. "I just felt like I was being watched."
Aashi nodded, her eyes serious. "You are being watched," she said. "By the villagers, by the forest, by the temple itself."
I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realized the truth. I was in over my head, and I didn't know how to get out.
Aashi took my hand, her touch sending a spark of electricity through my body. "Come with me," she said. "I'll show you the secrets of the temple."
I nodded, feeling a sense of trepidation. But I knew I had to see this through, no matter what lay ahead.
As we walked through the temple, I couldn't help but notice the intricate carvings on the walls. They seemed to tell a story, one of ancient rituals and mysterious powers.
Aashi led me to a large stone door, adorned with symbols of protection. "This is the heart of the temple," she said. "Where the secrets are kept."
I felt a sense of excitement mixed with fear as Aashi pushed the door open. What would I find inside?
